INL Field Sites
I visited field sites at the Idaho National Lab for the first time on Friday. My research is on wind erosion and plant community change following wildfire.
This site was burned by wildfire last summer. The equipment you see measures things such as wind speed and direction. "Big Butte" is seen in the background.
This nearby site was never burned.

Remember, if they need someone to come on as a slacker Ph.D. student to pick up the slack, you know where to look.
Wow, seems like you've done a lot of exploring already! Looks beautiful out there and I'm sure you're having an amazing time.
